It's a substantial return on investment: UNH contributes more than $1.3 billion annually to the state's economy, according to a new report by Ross Gittell, the James R. Carter Professor of Management, and Josh Stillwagon, a doctoral student in economics. "UNH is both a driver and a stabilizing force in the New Hampshire economy," notes UNH President Mark Huddleston, "and UNH's main product—educated residents, workers and business owners—is the foundation for the state's economic future."
