Passing the Puck
McCloskey

Brian McCloskey spent this past summer much as he's spent most of the last 10 summers: traveling across North America looking for hockey players to bring to Durham. The only difference was that this summer he was seeking players for the UNH women's team, not the men's.

McCloskey, who has been an assistant coach for the men's hockey team for most of the past decade, is the new coach of the women's team.

He replaces Karen Kay, who coached the Wildcat women's hockey team for 10 years, taking them to the finals of the national championship twice and winning it in 1998 "Brian McCloskey's coaching experience, recruiting prowess and motivational skills will serve the UNH women's hockey program well and help UNH hockey to return to national prominence," remarks Marty Scarano, director of athletics. ~
