In November, more than 200 students, faculty and staff attended UNH's first campuswide celebration of philanthropy in the MUB. Almost 1,000 thank-you notes to donors were written by students, including one by Heather Ware '13: "I am a senior majoring in music education. In my time here I have had so many wonderful opportunities due, in part, to your generous gift." Pam Smith, director of donor relations for UNH Advancement, says organizers were "just delighted by the community response." Participants also made 1,824 phone calls, and hundreds signed a banner (above). "It was a real win-win," says Katie Oslin, director of the UNH Fund, which co-sponsored the event. "Not only did we get the opportunity to thank our donors, but we also engaged students in the process."
