Elliott Alumni Center's parking lot got a makeover this summer, and it was more than skin-deep. The lot was redone with porous asphalt that lets stormwater drain through, removing pollutants like sediment, heavy metals and petroleum products through a 32-inch "filter" made of layered rocks and sand.
