Students asked for it, and they got it: a "50s Night" at the UNH dining halls, complete with hamburgers, hot dogs, fish sandwiches, coconut cream pie, Twinkies, Tootsie Pops and root beer floats. More predictably, they also asked for soft-serve yogurt, veggie wraps and stir fry. UNH Dining's ability to meet special requests, provide a variety of offerings and serve nutritious food earned it first place for menu in the 1998 NACUFS (National Association of College and University Food Services) competition.
