Michael Morin '93 has been named the U.S. Ski Team's men's slalom and giant slalom head coach. Morin joined the U.S. coaching staff in 1994 and most recently was head of the men's Europa Cup tech squad.

Sandra Engel '72, '74G, a professor and head of the humanities department at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, N.Y., was named a Fulbright Scholar in October 2002. She will spend the spring of 2003 in Vietnam, providing advice on the development of a community college in the Mekong Delta region.

Richard Gelles '73 was named dean of the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work. Gelles is an internationally known expert on domestic violence and child welfare, and has written 23 books and more than 100 articles, chapters and papers.

Joseph Carroll '74, a professor of social sciences at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H., was appointed to the M. Roy London Endowed Faculty Chair in recognition of his achievements in teaching and leadership.
